What is a 9V battery lifespan when using 500mA?

I bought a 9V battery clip connector with a L6 jack on the other end to use instead of a DC9V 500mA adapter so I can listen to my radio in the yard. If the radio required a 9V 500mA adapter, assuming it actually requires 500mA to run, approximately what would be the lifespan of each 9V battery I use? 1hr? 2hrs? More or Less?
