How do you use the mounting lugs included with a weatherproof electrical box to mount the box?
I want to mount the electrical box to the wall on the outside of my house. The box is a metal box that came with two mounting lugs but I’m not sure what to do with them or how to use them to mount the box.
Forget them and drill 2 holes in the back and screw it to the wall with galvanized screws into as stud if you can. seal the inside with a dab of silicone caulk. much sturdier. and will stay put better.
