Exposed Wires Electrical Tape

How much electrical tape do I need to put on exposed wiring?
I just reattatched the copper wiring between my speakers. So I have about 1/2 an inch of exposed wire on the black and white parts. Do I need to go to freakin town on how much electrical tape I put over it? Or is it good enough if the exposed wire is just COVERED, and I’m good?
The national electrical code is for 1 electrical tape wrap be good enough to insulate 600 Volts. Your speakers are very small fraction of that.
One wrap around the xposed speaker wire is sufficent.
