Auto Voltage converter?

I live in Asia(Philippines) and am traveling to the US which mostly have their appliances and gadgets plugged at 110v. I am bringinging with me stuff like a laptop and mobile phone which are plugged in a 220/240v electrical outlet; hence, i want to know if what voltage of transformer will I need in the US so i could recharge these gadgets if ever I run out of battery life. Thanks for any help.

Most gadgets like laptops cell phones etc are actually DC and only plug into AC to recharge their batteries. If you look at the batteries or on the data plates most of them say 110/220 I just checked my laptop, cellphone and electric razor all say 110/240 if yours are they will recharge off either current and you wont need a transformer just a plug adapter. unless you are trying to run an actual AC appliance. In which case you are pretty much better off just buying one here. As AC transformers are expensive.
