voltage electrical distributors
My boat won’t start but the engine turns over?

So I got my boat out of storage the other day, and now it wont start. I figured it’s electrical because I know that the gas is flowing through the engine. I replaced the disributor cap and router and it still didn’t work. So I then replaced the ignition coil and it still doesn’t work. I used an ohmeter to check the voltage going from the ignition coil to the distributer, and it was fine. but then I checked the voltage coming out of the distributor and there wasn’t any electricity. Does anyone have any ideas? I would really love to get this started so I can go out on the lake.
Thank you

You didn’t tell us what engine you have. Mercruiser? what Year ?and HP? …..do you have spark. There might be a kill switch that’s stuck closed and is grounding the ign. or a defective sensor in the distributor. Some engines have a ballast resistor in the circuit. If it fails you will not have enough voltage to start.
